Dont try contraceptives on Donkeys

I am trying to be very polite and have avoided the use of the actual words that is used in this simile, but that was only for the caption.  “Don’t try condoms on donkeys, especially when they’re hard on.”  Visualize such a scene and though it may sound so funny a simile, the underlying difficulty in the act can soon overtake the fun aspect and bring in seriousness of thought.  It can normally be said as “a hard-nut-to-crack, don’t waste your energy”.  All of them mean the same thing, some people are beyond repair – don’t waste efforts trying to reform them.

“If things can be said so simple, then why use the harsh language”, you may ask.  I have felt hurt so deeply when such ignorance is treated very unduly high and not holding on there, insulting the matter-of-factly truthful souls.  When falsehood gets praised, my blood boils, and so hard are my emotions against these, that I began ‘Hard Talk’ only to address such biases in the first place.

We face many occasions where we are at crossroads with colleagues on issues that we firmly believe are wrong. Viewpoints, discussions, arguments and understanding each other’s locus standi is the normal course.  Once a while, parting with a difference of opinion is also a reasonable outcome.  With some people, this cannot be the case.  Many a things which are very obvious to the entire planet may not get accepted by them.  They generally behave like martians on earth and become constant irritants – so intense, depending on their stature in the organization. By default or design, they differ in every way and most of the times become a bottleneck for any process that involve them – trying to prove to the world that they are adding value.   Any attempt to prove the point with these all-knowing Angels from the skies, will turn out to be futile and even detrimental to one’s own well-being.  Discussions with them will invariably result in demeaning of the purpose and can cause injury to the individual who initiates the same.  It shall remain an unresolved puzzle if you may have to find out the reason for such poor rationale with such people.

Read the following lines, if the person you associate with such characteristics is not one of your beloved ones or that your future well-being fully depends on his / her conversion as an understandable character.

In order to overcome the bad influences of such people, we need to develop smart ways to 

(a) identify such special characters in the work place – this can be achieved by analyzing the inputs of the people around you, which should be done after exhausting some unbiased trials; 

(b) understand clearly the very purpose of every process wherever it involves such a character; 

(c) being well within the ambit of compliant-to-process and avoiding confrontation of any kind with them; 

(d) maintain all norms of decency and calm while dealing with them; and most importantly 

(e) not waste any efforts or energy trying to educate or reform them into social acceptance.

By adopting these methods, you will soon realize that you have not lost your health, got more time unto yourself, prevented damage to your self-esteem, while achieving your objectives with relatively lesser efforts. The fact is that contraceptives are not effective with some species. To them, surgery is the only alternative.
