Confessions of a Clown

Its raining tears, of watery red

Everone’s laughing, while colleagues bled.

Making you laugh will earn me a smile,

Said the clown dwarf, without thought, awhile.

Antagonist, I am, in this sordid tale

Protagonist, yet to find, everyone’s stale.

Meet my half-prince, said the tall one

Neither he knew, nor I, we are none.

World is too selfish, no one’s mine

Each one said so, but said I’m fine.

Irony of sorts, in this untrue story

Get into detail, everyone feels sorry.

Staying aloof, I too sang the same songs

Stay hungry, stay foolish, ignore all wrongs.

Life is a circus, everyone has a part

Some lions, some clowns of a sort.

Where shall we begin, there we do end

Gallons of tears, the way we trend.

I’m not the idiot kind, said he

I’m smarter, swifter and holier than thee.

Jus’ trying to make you laugh, I bend

Laughing at you, read the message I send.

Do not take me for granted, I’m no angel

I’m adorable, till you hear the bugle.

I carry, dice, vice and all, not so funny

Can’t afford to voice them, I haven’t a penny.

I merrily go around, nothing amiss

You know for true, no one cares a kiss.

I’m fun, no touch, no feel, can I

God forbid them, they’re more distorted than I.

See the way, they look at me

I dream, getting stripped apart

Just when I get closer, I’m he to Shee

Become the horror, dishonoured I depart.

From Rich to Pauper, all do enjoy

My acts galore, but none do buy

I am a whole, and do have a soul

I do play this Role, for the sake of a Bowl.

Seldom doth anyone, count me in

Play with me, fine, rest all is Sin.

If you have a heart, and if it matters

Don’t wait any longer, come to this squatter.

You can spend your fortunes, on a thousand things

But have some moments of fun, frolic and Love within.

Never let your brethren to curse you to doom

Be the one that shares, and waits till bloom.

I’m a Clown, a Dwarf, fully forbidden

But desires, I do have, I haven’t ridden.

My life sucks, and feels so sore

I Love, Long, Yearn for more..
