Disproportionate Truth

Reading through the editorial today, I was overwhelmed by the different perspectives brought in by different thought leaders.  Alarmingly, all were 500% True. While today’s subjects were Demonitization and Following, I observe that every day, irrespective of the subjects discussed, the readers like me will end up buying in such disproportionate truths.

Do I compliment the writers or blame them for vice.  Everyone will and must compliment. It is their view point and expression. On disagreements too there is a similar proportion of opposive feelings. Thanks to WhatsApp, we have formed a number of groups to suit different purposes.  There, it is familiar sight to pick a fight over some things very trivial or far too serious. Each one will have a 400˜500% truth on either sides. Then, do I curse myself for taking in too much too seriously. No, I won’t, because I feel I have taken in only what has appealed to my rationale. Then, how can the math go so wrong. How is it shooting beyond 100%.

Here, it is not a specific subject; but the intensity of thought and judgement that goes in for every discussion matters. Why do we become so inclined if on favourable ground or so very disoriented when it is against our stand point. We tend to respond or react at highly disproportionate scales. Isn’t it true.

Emotions that we attach to any of these arguments, distort the truth for us. Favourable or unfavourable is on the sides we take.  Should neutrality assure 100% – I doubt that. Neutrality or equillibrium on emotions has never been seen in active life. I mean a life that is not of an ascetic.  It is another story how much fun it is to read through the lives of the currently living ascetics in our country.  Then, what do we do.

I have a laundry list of advices that I have been receiving. Take a pause, before making conclusive opinions. Do not judge – is just said than done. God is in Detail – modern managers preach. Elitists suggest to being irrational.  Traditional philosophers recommend being dispassionate. How to come out of such delirious delusions, is what needs to be addressed now.

Wish you pool in your thoughts in this discussion. Let’s make this water muddy and then do some fishing. Welcome to discuss..
