I Know, I Know

All this while,
I thought I knew.
I was uttering,
I know, I know.

Whenever I said it,
there followed a lull.
Many left, mumbling
“The Cup is Full”.

A stitch in time
does save nine.
Goes the saying
Also, flew my time.

Now I do realize
as I come of age.
Had I “known” this,
would’ve been a sage.

On downstairs or decline
many helped me recline
Held forte, got me through
made me Win, by-ways they knew.

A feeling of being The-Wanted
I took the rest for granted
Growth in me had stunted
Many moved on, disappointed

All blunders that I made
haunt me, don’t seem to fade
Venom I spate – on all,
who called a spade a spade

When ego rules the roost
The Devil is at its best
How virus eats the host
So many bore the cost

I have stopped to whine
Knowing, I am now fine
When I am the cause
and so, am the effect.

No point, no time to worry
Better to be safe than sorry
As I am the one who always demands
Now it’s my time to make amends

From ignorance to knowledge
To an intellect with an edge
Sailing on words of Wisdom
I’m gaining miles on Pardon

I can see it is providence
That I’m out of self-reverence
In time, I could spread my wings
to embrace like the attired kings

To respect a fellow being
Is to love oneself and showing
To Teach and Learn is mutual
Omniscience is impossible
